is 2011 the year for trance??

Its like i woke up one morning in 2011 and trance had taken over.

From the likes of Kelly Rowland, Toni braxton, Chris brown, Pitt bull, Jennifer Lopez, Sean Kingston, Rihanna, black eyed peas... name them they are doing trance and they seem to be doing just fine.

We all know trance has always been there but honestly if i told one of you to name somebody best known for trance most of you just know David guetta .so the question is why trance??? maybe its coz its danceable i guess and we are in a world that's changing daily so lets not be left behind.

You go to Kenyan clubs and whats playing??? trance. you switch on your radio what do you hear?? trance

Can Kenyans pull of trance?? well Bamzigi has a trance track ( but its not my cup of coffee). if i was to name Kenyans who i think can pull off a trace song and its a hit maybe avril nyambura (there`s so much spirit in that girl) , daddy owen (who can pull off anything if you ask me) , p-unit (they just have that swag) and sauti sol (if you want to do the impossible just do it with this guys)

if we as Kenyans want our music to move forward we shouldn't be afraid to experiment, that's my advice

hey fans of nairobi diary,

mean girls 2 is a movie starring  Meaghan jette martin as Jo Mitchel, maiarra Walsh, Nicole Anderson and Jennifer stone. it is directed by Melanie mayron. and the genre is comedy.

the movie is about Jo a girl whose pretty much just ordinary who is going to a new school and just wants to finish high school with out drama. that is until she collides with some snort nose high school bitches called `the plastics` the that's where the real drama  begins.

nothing can beat mean girls 1 you know the one with Lindsay lohan back when she was still a sane girl. mean girls 2 is everything you expect in an American high school i.e dumb groupings, bullies, rich kids, fashion, this is the part i say thank God for Kenya. it has its humor i will not lie. fine it has a typical and predictable plot but don't all teen movies in the 21st century. the acting was superb .

the clinic movie review

Hey fans of Nairobi diary??

The movie is Australian 100% so the cast and director are not people who may be familiar to you .The movie is also based on true events.  Starring Tabrett Bethell (Beth) ,Andy Whitfield (Cameron) and directed by James rabitts.the genre is thriller and horror.

The movie is about a couple Beth who is pregnant and Cameron who were headed to Beth`s mother for Christmas when they decide to spend the night at a motel before they arrive to their destination. then suddenly Beth is abducted an wakes up in what seems to be a clinic and finds that her baby is already taken. But she`s not alone because in the same clinic are other women with similar cases.

The movie was amazing considering its a low budget flick and is Australian. The characters though people you are not familiar with deliver a splendid performance as well.Its a movie about about survival and the lengths women will go to protect their child.  Though i will not lie when i say the movie is disgusting if you are like me and think blood belongs inside a human body and not outside. And jeez why is there always some psycho killing people as if they don't own a bloody conscience??? The highlight of the movie is when its ending then you get to understand why anything was anything. Definitely a movie worth watching but not while eating. and if you figure out why Cameron was even in the movie please do tell am still not sure, its not like he did much anyway.

the mechanic review

hey fans of nairobi diary?

The mechanic is an action and drama movie starring Jason statham (Arthur) ,  ben foster (Steve), Donald Sutherland (harry) and many more. It is directed by Simon west.

 Arthur is a professionally trained assassin who is good at his job, one of the best actually. he is tricked into killing his best friend and mentor harry. Is he haunted by guilt ?? Yes. Maybe that's why he decides to help out harry`s son Steve  who is kind of a lost soul and seeking revenge for his dads murder and i quote "who shoots a defenseless man on a wheelchair" Steve  asks Arthur. Arthur later comes to discover he was indeed tricked into killing harry and he`s out to get revenge no matter what the cost with a little help from Steve  who still doesn't know the truth or does he???

What makes this movie `awesome` its short. They get straight to the point if you are to die then you die , probably leaves no room for mourning. Other than that it has violence, blood, sex, guns, what more can you ask for??? fine it is a remake of a movie in the 1970`s but soo?? Its still an amazing movie, will i watch the original?? probably not. A movie with Jason statham is bound to be a success. Why?? He is an amazing actor , hot as hell and does his owns stunts, probably comes with a bag of chips but dont push it (i had to watch it*insert Bella`s voice from twilight). plus its a Simon west movie he directed con air and tomb raider, more reason that you won`t be disappointed.

how do you know review

how do you know is a movie starring jack Nicholson, Reese witherspoon, Owen Wilson,  Paul Rudd and other familiar and non familiar faces . its basically drama and comedy. directed by james l brooks.

 Lisa (Reese) is an athlete whose career comes to an abrupt end. which leaves her time to focus on her relationship which clearly she never had time for before . She has an on and off boyfriend called Matty (Owen) . he is sweet and funny though not exactly the commitment type kind of guy (player).she also  meets George (Paul) who also seems to be at a dead end in his carrer , thanks to his dad (jack). they immediately connect despite the fact that they have nothing in common .And behold a love triangle is formed.


Truth be told the movie doesn't exactly have a good plot and its tooooooooo long .How do you know when you are in love??? is what its about but don't be surprised when u know nothing (if you get what i mean) love able characters with confusing roles. If you find yourself not connecting with Lisa and her emotions feel free to join my club. it a good example of how a movie with many characters doesn't exactly mean the movie is good. and Lisa and Matty clearly have no problem advertising a relationship just based on sex. and Jack`s performance is so shallow and minimal can you spell disappointment any louder. i just enjoyed the last 30 minutes and some rare humor . Though all in all its an entertaining movie, but that's just about it.

Morning Glory Review

hey fans of Nairobi diary ,

Morning glory is a movie starring Harrison ford, Rachel mcadams , Diane keaton and many more familiar and non familiar faces. It is directed by roger michell. and the basic genre is comedy with a hint of romance.

Becky (mcadams) plays the role of a woman with loads of dreams about life the most important being to work for a leading local news programme. but she gets fired from her old job  and finds her self producing a morning show called `day break` . Thats where she meets mike (ford) who happens to be a legend in the world of news broadcasting but for some reason is also a jerk ass  and probably the third meanest person in the world who does`t seem to value his job. He works along side Collen (Keaton) who is a former beauty queen who seems to love her job unlike some people... mike passes off a somebody rather old fashioned who seems to believe news should be news and not the recent crap that wold pass for news today, hence when Becky hires him to be the news anchor for `daybreak ` she gets more than she bargained for. But despite the so called downs in Becky`s  life she manages to some how find love despite her `busy` life with  Bennett (Wilson)

Becky is the kind of characters you find so hard not to connect with. she`s warm, loving and is a klutz with out looking dumb what more could you ask for???? its similar to the `devil wears prada` in a way. Rachael is an amazing actress and a movie you wold expect Ann Hathaway to be perfect for seems to be just perfect for her. ford also delivers an amazing performance, he`s kinda the mean old man next door you just cant hate, weird huh???? if you love Keaton from her previous work you`ll love her even more here. definitely a must watch. it mat not be `muhahaha` funny but you will find yourself connecting with the characters.
