Xmen First Class Review

The main idea behind xmen first class is to let us know exactly how xmen came to be. In the sense that it shows us the relationship that was between Erick and Charles before the so called birth of magneto and professor Xavier. 

We all have our opinions on which was indeed our best xmen movie that's why i choose xmen first class then xmen 3. why xmen first class??? Coz i have always been curious about what prompted magneto and Xavier to be such rivals. I was shocked Erick  had a soft spot , i will not lie. I have always been team Xavier but after watching this movie i kinda understand magneto,  heck if i was him i could have done the exact same thing he did. though why do all movies kill Edi gathegi, smh my people are being targeted . Totally a movie worth watching especially if you are an xmen fan.

Sucker punch is a story about a girl called babydoll to be precise who creates a fantasy world to escape the harsh reality that is her life. It also shows us the length people will take to get freedom and the importance of teamwork.


ln order to understand sucker punch you must first ask yourself , what is sucker punch??? why is a teenage girl having the fantasies of a 13year old boy??? why are teenage girls wearing skimpy trashy outfits??? what is the relevance of her fantasies to freedom??? why is anything anything??? Sadly that is sucker punch for you, many WHYs....... It has awesome fight scenes and sound tracks  i gotta give it up to them but thats just about it. Though i did enjoy the film. why you may ask, beats me.

Source Code Review

The movie is about Steven's who wakes up to find himself in a train near a pretty woman known as Christina. Steven's is unsure as to how exactly that's possible since he was in Afghanistan , last time he checked. this is where Steven's comes to learn that the world he is in , is not real so to speak. coz technically he is in another mans body i.e Sean , and that's how `source code` comes in. he has eight minutes exactly , each time to figure out who bombed the train  or else the cycle repeats its self. 

What did i love about this movie??? it has an amazing plot. its the kind of movies that require your keen attention. its also addictive, i couldn't even tweet in between. so what if its kinda like DEJAVU?????? though it had a predictable ending, you know the kind where you know the boy will always get the girl . i loved Jake`s performance , you actually find yourself connecting with Steven's, here is a man not sure whether he is dead or alive and yet manages to fall in love with a girl whom he knows he can not have coz technically he is living a lie. which leaves you asking did he stay in Sean`s body at the end of it all??????? hence the whack ending if you ask me, it should have ended way before.

The Priest Review

The movie is about well basically priest vs vampires yes that plot less sad to say. the star is called `priest` okay why did i see that coming , whose daughter lily has been kidnapped by vampires , ugly vampires . Priest sets out to find his daughter even after the `clergy` warn him against doing so coz they believe vampires no longer exist or maybe they are just living in denial beats me.

This movie is just shallow though i wasn't surprised this are the same people who gave us Legion the only good thing it that its better than legion., then again any movie is probably better than legion . The film was adapted from a Korean comic book , yes sadly another fact that comes as no surprise. As you watch the movie you will feel like you have watched it before , it has dark knight, Eli, wolverine and even underworld ideas all in to one.all in all its a movie you will enjoy watching especially the fight scenes the plot may be far fetched but it grows on you as you watch it. am not a huge fan of Paul bettany but he should really stop acting movies that are not worth his acting skills.

Thor, according to Norse mythology, is the god of thunder, lightning and, intriguingly, oak trees as well. In the 1960s the deity found himself repackaged by Marvel Comics, which brought him down to earth and paired him off with a foxy young nurse. Its a movie that shows us Thor's`s life and what he went through in order to fully discover his destiny as he comes to terms with the betrayal surrounding him.


If you ask me the people who will enjoy this movie the most are the people who grew up hearing the myths about Thor. Its predictable especially in the begining and the romance in the movie was far fetched i will not lie coz i fail to understand how Thor and Jane fall in love in just a couple of days. The graphics in the movie are breathe taking just splendid. its a movie that basically teaches us about leadership, loyalty, courage  and love. it kinda diverted from the Norse mythology you have probaly heard or read but either way its still a good movie. The characters delivered an amazing performance. I enjoyed it alot and i hope that you also will.

The dilemma review

The movie is about two friends who take us through their relationships and work. Ronny and his girlfriend called Geneva whom he wants to propose to but is afraid . And nick and his wife Beth who used to have a perfect relationship but Beth is cheating on him. the dilemma comes in when Ronny bust`s Beth with another man and he is not sure how to tell his best friend nick.

The movie is actually interesting. Two buds Ronny and nick are the best of friends and not in a gay kind of way but they have secrets surrounding them. it may not be muhaha funny but it teaches us a lot about friendship and the dillema of how one friend doesnt want to hurt the other by telling him the truth.Which could break their friendship , ruin a marriage and jeopardize their business partnership. it also shows us that a strong friendship cannot be broken.

Entertainment round up may 2011

1st i refuse to review the movie `from prada to nada`. i don't want to review a movie that is meant to comedy but makes me cry coz of how much it REALLY sucks, it is down right predictable and most of the scenes leave you asking WHY???

 citizen tv has what is a reality show about women trying to loose weight and if that's not comedy enough the relevance of it being aired during 9p.m news is a mystery by its self. one can only wonder if their main aim is to have the viewers laughing at those poor women  if and when they don't loose weight like Lilian kanene did.

does Damon salvatore die??? i will stand my ground and still claim if the producer for vampire diaries know whats good for the show they will not kill him. possible outcomes Bonnie with all her powers saves him, there is an answer on how to save him in Jonathan Gilberts journal or he drinks Elijah`s portion ( and we hope he doesn't become human or a hybrid of some sort).

jenny and Vanessa are not in gossip girl season 5. that came as a relief to me they are both annoying and their relevance is questionable. since they are now in college there is no need for jenny and as for Vanessa they can do without her period. jenny can now concentrate on making music and maybe buying clothes clearly she has none.

human target, lie to me and loads of other shows were canceled by Fox TV . question is WHY??? human target was a really awesome show everything you wanted in an action show they had it. between anger and rage am not sure exactly what i felt when i heard the news.

just go with it review

The movie is about a guy called Danny who got left at the alter roughly ten years ago in his state of being heartbroken goes to a bar and discovers there are women who pity heartbroken men and are willing to sleep with them.  But of course that lie was to be short lived so to speak. He meets Palmer a hot school teacher who is not that easy to fool to get laid. Thats where Katherine who is his nurse comes in, to play the role of his alleged mean wife whom he wants to divorce and you can on imagine how many lies they have to tell to actually pull it off.


As a huge adam sandler fan i loved this movie. It is straight out funny. Jen also tried her best. she has a trait to make movies suck, God knows why but i gotta hand it to her i was impressed. nicole kidman is hardly noticeable , am kinda shocked she wasn't given a bigger role but hey that's life, she pulls it off pretty Well as Katherine`s best friend. for some  strange feeling i couldn't shake the fact that some of the scenes were shot the same places as `grown ups` but that's just me. It is down right predictable since we know Adam n Jen must end up together. it has its moments so just go with it and watch it.

 The roommate is a a movie about Sarah a college freshman who gets roommate Rebeca who lets just say is too much to handle, Rebeca at first passes off for just a normal roommate i.ea pretty, caring young girl who just loves to draw. she gets obsessed with Sarah and one by one she starts getting rid of all the people who seem to be diverting Sarah`s attention away from her.

Do you watch movies???? First the title gave the movie away . 2nd trust me when i say you have seen the plot of this movie. I will not genre it as horror coz that would be an insult to SAW . Anyone with a right mind doesn't need to be told Rebeca is PSYCHO it is clear from the first minute hence flash backs of her child hood and visiting her home town were unnecessary. I will not lie the only reason i watched this movie was coz of  leighton meester aka Rebeca aka Blair for gossip girl. when i saw the trailer and saw her acting psycho i knew right there and then i have to watch this movie, if you are gossip girl fanatic like me you will understand why. The actresses did a good job you will find yourself connecting . The movie is down right predictable. If you end up knowing what happens next just know you do not have superpowers most of us know what happens next.

It about a teenage alien boy i.e john who is one of nine other alien kids who were brought to earth so that their lives could be saved. he is number four and as fate wold have it numbers 1,2 and 3 have all been killed and he is the next target.when john realizes he is the next target his guardian makes him relocate to avoid danger. john who realizes he cannot spend his entire life running and decides to fight back with a little help from his friends.


I am number four is actually a good movie. guys are saying its an imitation for twilight but we can all agree twilight is worse. the love story is predictable , you know boy meets girl, girl is kinda shy, boy falls in love, girl falls in love and so on .the movie cold have tried adding more facts like why there are people who want them dead . but other than that i personally loved the action scenes. all in all it has a predictable point like seriously. its fun to watch that's all i can say. was it oversold by the trailer most definitely .it does kinda leave you hanging asking whats next thats the beauty of it.

Warriors way is a movie about yang who is an ninja  who ends up betraying his master when he fails to kill a baby of an enemy clan. yang manages to escape with the baby and now lives a life of  hiding in America. That's where he meets Lynne and other town folks who also seem to be hiding themselves from a bunch of hooligans who terrorize their small town . At the end of it all the town folks and yang learn to overcome their fears together.


I enjoyed this movie. why??? In a way it teaches you to over come you fears e.g Lynne fought the man who killed her family , the town folks got their town back and yang faced what he was running away from all along.  Am not a fan of ninja movies though they r kinda predictable, totally unrealistic i.e we all know that one guy who aint gonna die and damn is it possible to kill all those people???The actors pulled of an amazing performance . The part that moved me was where yang a coldblooded killer couldn't find it in his heart to take the life of an innocent baby yet he has killed thousands and maybe that's what being a great warrior is all about not killing what you love so as to prove that you are the greatest but protecting the one you love and yang shows us that when the movie ends. If you are the patient kind you will enjoy it coz just five minutes into the movie he had killed loads then suddenly there`s a slow plot after that before he starts fighting again.

is 2011 the year for trance??

Its like i woke up one morning in 2011 and trance had taken over.

From the likes of Kelly Rowland, Toni braxton, Chris brown, Pitt bull, Jennifer Lopez, Sean Kingston, Rihanna, black eyed peas... name them they are doing trance and they seem to be doing just fine.

We all know trance has always been there but honestly if i told one of you to name somebody best known for trance most of you just know David guetta .so the question is why trance??? maybe its coz its danceable i guess and we are in a world that's changing daily so lets not be left behind.

You go to Kenyan clubs and whats playing??? trance. you switch on your radio what do you hear?? trance

Can Kenyans pull of trance?? well Bamzigi has a trance track ( but its not my cup of coffee). if i was to name Kenyans who i think can pull off a trace song and its a hit maybe avril nyambura (there`s so much spirit in that girl) , daddy owen (who can pull off anything if you ask me) , p-unit (they just have that swag) and sauti sol (if you want to do the impossible just do it with this guys)

if we as Kenyans want our music to move forward we shouldn't be afraid to experiment, that's my advice

mean girls2 review

hey fans of nairobi diary,

mean girls 2 is a movie starring  Meaghan jette martin as Jo Mitchel, maiarra Walsh, Nicole Anderson and Jennifer stone. it is directed by Melanie mayron. and the genre is comedy.

the movie is about Jo a girl whose pretty much just ordinary who is going to a new school and just wants to finish high school with out drama. that is until she collides with some snort nose high school bitches called `the plastics` the that's where the real drama  begins.

nothing can beat mean girls 1 you know the one with Lindsay lohan back when she was still a sane girl. mean girls 2 is everything you expect in an American high school i.e dumb groupings, bullies, rich kids, fashion, this is the part i say thank God for Kenya. it has its humor i will not lie. fine it has a typical and predictable plot but don't all teen movies in the 21st century. the acting was superb .
